Yoga teacher
Maude Pelletier
Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montréal
I found yoga during a summer I spent working in a community garden. We stretched on the grass before opening the gates, muddy knees and all, and it felt more honest than any mirrored studio I had visited.
My backyard sessions happen between the tomato plants and the old maple. The flow is slow, choices are always offered, and I never touch anyone without asking. We finish with a long rest, then tea on the steps while the city wakes up around us.
I save seeds obsessively and can tell you which tomato came from which neighbour.
Why spend an evening with Maude?
Move under the morning sky, rest beneath the maple, and stay for tea among the garden beds.
