Table read of a one-act

Everyone at the table gets a role, including you.

Eight of us around my table with scripts and pencils. Everyone gets a role — including the person who came to watch.

How the evening goes

1.8 hours, 8 guests, in Hochelaga.

  1. Roles at the door

Chantal hands out parts as you arrive. Yes, you have lines.

  2. Cold read

Straight through the one-act, mistakes and laughing included.

  3. Notes over wine

She directs a little, gently, and you read the scene again.

  4. Second pass

The same act, better. You'll hear the difference in your own voice.
